CHATEAU
A noble domicile in the foothills of the Pyrenees

Since 2004, Château de Vialer has been lovingly restored as both a working winery and a beautiful family home. The approach to the estate is marked by its distinctive corbelled turret, Vic-Bilh roof tiles and sculpted 16th-century chimneys, in tribute to the centuries of architectural heritage.
Inside, many of the château’s original features have been preserved, including a magnificent 17th-century fireplace complete with rustic carvings of hunting dogs. These faithful companions have overseen many a celebratory evening, including those when the Countess du Barry was reputed to stay in the chateau on hunting trips in the region.
600-Year Legacy
Founded in the 14th century, Château de Vialer has long been a residence of regional and national nobility.
With grateful thanks to local historian Pierre Dasque for his skills in unearthing these precious archives.
